What is AssetBase?
AssetBase is a real-time asset tracking and borrowing management platform. It lets you track every asset your organization owns, manage who borrows what, and get instant notifications, all without requiring borrowers to install any app.
Do borrowers need to install an app or do anything?
No. Borrowers don't need to install anything or create any account. They simply receive notifications through WhatsApp or Telegram when an asset is assigned to them, when it's due, or when it's been returned. Interaction is completely optional. If they want, they can reply to confirm or extend, but the system works even without any borrower response.
How does asset assignment work?
Admins assign assets through the dashboard. The borrower instantly receives a WhatsApp or Telegram notification with the assignment details. No action is required from the borrower. The entire flow is tracked in real-time on the admin dashboard.
What types of assets can I track?
Anything. Laptops, projectors, vehicles, tools, lab equipment, office furniture, keys, and more. If your organization owns it and people borrow it, AssetBase can track it.
Can I customize fields for my assets?
Yes. The Business and Enterprise plans include custom fields, so you can add any data points specific to your organization like serial numbers, purchase dates, warranty info, condition notes, and more.
